The three-day event held in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at Maytower Hotel left many of the participants intellectually stimulated with lectures such as Forget No More with Super Memory by Indian National Record Holder for Memory Anant Kasibhatla and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Talk by Simon Wong. Our very own Jason Lo, CEO of Tune Talk gave a most interesting session, Rocking Your Brand and Your Business leaving many inspired.
A Gala Dinner was held on Sunday night and everyone let down their hair to enjoy the final night together with the foreign attendees by dancing to songs belted out by the live band headed by a fellow Mensan. The night ended with a group singing of Auld Lang Syne, as farewells were bid and promises made to keep in contact. There was a proposal by Mensa Indonesia to hold the next AMG at Bali.
Christine Warlies, Director for Small National Mensa MI from Germany: “I enjoyed learning so much from the lectures but even more so from the attendees themselves and their different cultures. It was even better than I had expected.”
Japan Mensa Chairman Hisashi Niizuma agreed and enthusiastically proposed holding the AMG in Kyoto, Japan.
Malaysian Mensa Chairman Azrai Skymmer was pleased with the turnout of the antecedent international event and the AMG having achieved its basic tenant of getting Mensans in Asia together for the first time. He said, “I am very delighted that the participants were very happy about the event.”
Mensa Indonesia Chairman has offered to host the next AMG in Bali. Details are to be planned. Keep yourself updated here in this portal for more news on upcoming AMG!
